INITIATIVE FOR LARGER CITY MUNICIPALITIES AUTHORIZATIONS

The councilors of Palilula Municipal Assembly, on the third regular session that was organized in NKC, brought the Conclusion on submitting Initiative for the change of Statute of the City of Nis by which it is suggested that City Municipalities get larger authorizations. The initiative was directed to the City authorities and in Palilula Municipality they expect positive result. `We are doing this since we are on the front point of our citizens and we work for the interest of the citizens` said the president. We are asking to transfer part of authorizations that the City has and not those that the Republic transferred to the City. Like Palilula, similar initiative has been sent from Pantelej Municipality and it is expected that the proposal about larger initiatives should be directed and submitted also by the other three city municipalities.

Beside the adoption of this Initiative, at the session, presided by Milos Stojkovic, president of Palilula Municipal Assembly, all other decisions that were on the agenda were also adopted.The Decisions on mandate confirmation of the councilors of the Assembly of Palilula Municipality Predrag Cvetkovic SPS, PUPS, JS, Sasa Jovanovic, DSS and Novica Tanic DSS were completed.The councilors brought the Decision on the First change of the Statute of Palilula Municipality that relates to the change of the number of commissions from the existing 5 to 8, so to coordinate them with the other Municipalities.Palilula Municipality has, after many months of Budget commission work, that has found the omissions in the financial work of the Municipality, with certain delay during this session, adopted the Balance sheet for 2011. The Decision on councilors fees was adopted, members of working bodies and councilor groups in the Assembly of Palilula Municipality and positive opinion was given to the Plan of detailed regulation of Palilula – First phase explained by Dusica Segovic from the Institute for Urbanization. Within the Councillors issues about the other initiatives spoke Vladimir Jovanovic, Miodrag Stankovic, Sladjana Jovic and Boban Mikic.
